| 1). |
Click
Yes in the query window that will pop up in a moment. |
 |
| 2). |
You
can make your sticker in one of two sizes ~
a traditional 3 inch x 11 inch "bumper" model, or the 5 inch
by 5 inch "window" sticker. |
 |
| 3). |
You
can make your sticker in one of two ways ~ use the StickerMaker,
our nifty, in-browser desktop publishing application that we've created.
Or, create the sticker on your machine with your graphics program
of choice and then upload the image to us.(Scroll down or click
for the upload option)
Note: We're quite proud of the StickerMaker, but it's still
a rough around the edges. If
you get stuck, click the "Help" button at the top of the
StickerMaker window. Or, check
out the help page now for an idea of what you'll be getting into. |
 |
| 4). |
Please
don't hesitate to email
us with any problems, comments or suggestions. If
you can't get either of these options to work, we'll figure out some
way to get you your sticker. |

StickerMaker
Beta Notes:
Mac Users, currently the Sticker Maker doesn't like anything except
OS X. So if that's not you, apologies. You'll have to upload
your own design.
The StickerMaker is a Java applet, so you'll need a "Java Runtime
Environment" enabled in your web browser, or else it won't work.
A JRE is a pretty common thing to have -- if the applet isn't loading,
most likely you've just got it turned off. Here's how
to turn the JRE back on. If that doesn't work, here's how
to download and install a JRE..
Note: Some computers
in cyber cafes and corporate cubicles don't allow Java applets. This
is because The Man does not want you to make bumper stickers.
Once you've created your sticker to your satisfaction, clicked the
"Finish" button at the top left. You'll, be directed to
a new page to view the final proof of your design as it will go to
the printer. However, if you decide to make any changes, you'll have to re-launch the applet
and start again from scratch. It's a good idea to "Pre-proof"
your sticker while it's still in the StickerMaker. Don't worry, it's
a WYSIWYG
GUI. |

This is the option if you want to design
the sticker on your machine using PageMaker, Quark, Photoshop, or
something like it. Follow these steps:
• Choose one of two layouts: For the rectangular "bumper"
format, create an image that's 790 pixels wide by 195 pixels high, or any dimensions in the same ratio.
• For the square "window" format, the image should be 400 pixels wide by 375 pixels high, or in that ratio.
• The larger the image you send us, the better the resolution will be.
We print at 72 DPI.
• Save the image as a .jpg or .gif file. Browse to your
save file with the Browse Button Below. Then Click Submit. It'll upload.
• We'll automatically determine which format you sent us (bumper
or window) and scale your image as needed, maintaining the aspect ratio.
Then we'll add our "logo
bubble" and show you the final proof. Because we scale the
image to fit the full "canvas" of the sticker, cropping
will occur to the degree to which your image is not proportionate
to our sizes -- the good news is, if you're pretty close, it's pretty
minimal. (And if you're exact, no worries.)

Tip: Another option is a bit
more involved, but offers more flexibility. Rather than loading your
design here, you can launch the StickerMaker, click on the "image"
button (it's the camera icon), and load it into the app. This will place
your full-size design into the template. You'll have the ability to
increase or decrease size and change position exactly to your liking.
Also, the Sticker Maker allows you to choose the color of your logo
bubble, whereas the upload tool here restricts you to a black bubble. |
