Here we have the official bumper stickers promoting Bootstrap Austin and the Bootstrap Network, including the Hero's Journey Series explaining the four key stages of Bootstrapping in bumper stickers.

At the June, '08, meeting, guest speaker Rick Engel inadvertantly started what may become a tradition, when he said "'Bootstrap or Die' is the bumper sticker version of every business model I've ever launched."

Naturally, we couldn't resist working that one up, and developed a Harley-inspired design. We think of it as a loving wink to the non-Bootstrappers out there who view our maniacal entrepreneurial obsessions as a sort of "Highway to Hell."

When asked to elaborate on his motto, Engel—the restaurateur of such local institutions as Austin Java, Paggi House, and Little Woodrows—explained: "Bootstrapping is a way of life for the successful entrepreneur...those of us who understand this concept have all been there and know what I'm talking about! Bootstrap or Die Baby!"
