Vice President Cheney reminds voters today that if Kerry wins, our asses are toast:

"It's absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on Nov. 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States," Cheney told about 350 supporters at a town-hall meeting in this Iowa city.

Apparently Dick got the memo from Julius Blog: An analysis of Terror Threat Warnings as they corrolate to presidential approval ratings.

Some of the findings:

  • When Bush's ratings dip, there's a new terror alert.

  • Terror alerts are followed by a small uptick in approval ratings

  • The number and frequency of terror alerts is growing
