USC Prof. Mitch Earleywine disputes the results of a Office of National Drug Control Policy study that blames a 100% increase in the THC level of marijuana since 1980 for the rise in drug treatment admissions.
Calling the report “speculation piled on top of conjecture”, Earleywine says stronger pot actually reduces health risks -- the real danger to our youth is the ONDCP “shifting prevention and law enforcement resources towards marijuana and away from drugs like heroin and cocaine, which actually kill.”
Earleywine is an advisor to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), a non-profit lobby that provides information and legal assistance to dope fiends across the Nation.
